Making the Most of Your Trip to the Farmer's Market

I love to bulk buy my vegetables from farm shops and farmers markets, a batch cook and freeze par cooked vegetables so I never have an excuse not to make delicious nutritious foods in an instant. I roast carrots, beetroot, butternut squash, sweet potatoes...anything that is in season. I then have a great base in my freezer for soups, stews and curries.

Roast vegetables always taste nicer next day - I love to roast them and then eat them cold the next day with a salad and some crumbled goats cheese, chilli flakes and a sprinkle of mixed seeds.
